Laminate, Granite, and Quartz Countertops
In our showroom we have examples of all three types of countertops. The showroom displays have samples of the different colors and styles we have available.
Laminate
Laminate is built to order on 3/4″ plywood after you choose the color you want. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, including solid colors, wood, and stone looks. The counter tops are built to be durable and are resistant to stains and scratches from normal use. They’re easy to clean, just use a damp cloth, and a mild liquid detergent or household cleaner. Laminate cannot withstand long exposure to high temperatures, harsh cleaners, or sharp objects.

There are four edge options to choose from:

Beveled Edge
Strong, crisp angles enhance the solid stone look with a classic look and feel. The 45 degree angle “cut” reflects light for a defined border that smartly frames your countertop.

Bullnose Edge
Curved to the top and bottom for a smooth molded look, our Bullnose Edge flatters virtually every Formica Brand laminate design from stone and granite looks to woodgrains and contemporar abstract patterns.

A soft curve that mimics the “bullnose” granite edge. This versatile edge blends into most any kitchen design. The perfect finishing touch to your “I can’t believe this isn’t real granite” countertops.

Ogee Edge
A shapely sculpted edge with a decorative look, our Ogee Edge is especially well suited to stone, granite, and woodgrain patterns, giving countertops and tables the same elegant finish as more expensive materials.
Granite
Granite is a natural stone that is porous. It can handle sharp objects, heat, and stains. Granite countertops need to be sealed and resealed every year. When the sealing is not kept up, granite is susceptible to stains. It is heat resistant and is not damaged or weakened when hot pans are placed directly on the countertop. However, it can be chipped, and easily fixed. Granite comes in many color options, with each slab being different from the next. There are also several different edge options.

Quartz
Cambria Quartz countertops are made from natural stone, and the quality is checked at every step of the fabrication process. Quatrz is nearly twice as strong as granite or marble making it more durable. It is also less likely to scratch, stain, or chip than other countertops. Cambria is easy to clean, you only need warm water and mild soap, and is completely maintenance free. Although it is a high quality natural stone, you should avoid harsh chemicals and putting sudden heat directly on the countertop. There are two finish options: matte and high gloss, as well as 19 different edge profiles. There is a wide variety of colors and patterns to choose from.
